Another Extracare Retirement Village

Another new £56m development from The Extracare Charitable Trust opened in 2018. The Lumen Architect was commissioned to complete a lighting design for the atrium and other public spaces including large halo shades in the bar area, bespoke lighting in the theatre and large copper coloured floating rings in the atrium which also provide the emergency lighting.
The atrium lights needed to be large enough to provide enough light, but light enough to be mounted from the glazed structure .
